Loving Reading!

The first Friday of every month, our school hosts "Munch and Read". Students are invited to bring in their favorite book(s) and a snack.  We read to a friend or to ourselves.  We all enjoy this reading activity!

Feeling loved!

I just spent the last two days at a workshop learning about Work Stations.  I learned a lot and am excited to bring it back to Ridgeway teachers!  The best part of my day today was that when I showed up to Ridgeway at 3:45, the Drama auditions were just wrapping up and several students ran to hug me when they saw me!  Makes me feel so loved!😍

Back to School Night

What a great night!  The kids were excited to show off their iPads.  I always enjoy having families visit the classroom and watching students share their school work.  Thanks for coming, Unit C families!

The 5 Paragraph Essay

Today was Day 2 of working on the 5 paragraph essay.  We spent time looking at and pulling apart an essay about why cats make the ideal pet.  We used a new graphic organizer (as opposed to the two other organizers that have been used).  Students worked in small groups and then we checked it together on the board.  We will continue working with organizers on Thursday.
